The Two Stories Immortalized in Time
Seiko's collaboration with Violet Evergarden has resulted in two limited edition watches, each capturing the essence of a specific story from the anime series. The first watch, known as the "Story 6" Watch, pays homage to a memorable scene where Violet bids farewell to Lion. The dial features an open heart design that reveals an internal mechanism reminiscent of Violet's prosthetic arm, symbolizing her journey of emotional growth. The second watch, called the "Story 10" Watch, reflects the heartwarming bond between Anne and Clara, with the dial reflecting the colors of the sunset sky and the meadow swaying in the wind. Each watch incorporates intricate details that encapsulate the emotions and themes of the stories.
Both watches boast meticulous design elements that merge the world of Violet Evergarden with the artistry of watchmaking. The index of the watches resembles the keys of a typewriter, paying homage to Violet's role as an Auto Memory Doll. The rounded Roman numerals lend a classic and timeless aesthetic to these timepieces. The dial of the Story 10 Watch reflects the letters exchanged between Clara and Anne, symbolizing the enduring power of love.
