In 1943, with the world in the throes of World War II, Patek Philippe released the Chronograph 1579. This reference is particularly notable because of its 36mm size, large for the time, and the stylized lugs, often referred to as spider lugs, uncharacteristic of the brand. This example is in excellent original condition with a beautiful 2nd series dial and comes with an extract from the archives.
